oh you'rereading Kierkegaard...how nice...this is a nice quote
I am reading about Kierkegaard. I am reading a biography. Will write about it later.
the Alastair Hannay one?
No, it is by Joakim Garff. It was originally published in Danish. English translation came early this year. Link to the publisher's page.
It is written in a very interesting, lively and engaging style, though still too big for amateur readers like me. Also I was looking for more "introductory" materials about Kierkegaard's work than just a narrative of his life. In that sense the book is a little disappointing.
Have you tried Patrick Gardiner's "Kierkegaard: A Very Short Introduction"?
Yes, I have read it. That's the OUP series, right? I really love those books.
ah I see...the Hannay one provides more philosophical background in this respect...I don't know the Gardiner one however...ncie,Kierkegaard...you really could dive into that, such rich & deep texts...and I like this idea of the pseudonyms....
this is a great resource:
